In mid-October, the East Union staff and students began preparing for their Veterans Day celebration.

East Union shared a list of items needed for veterans and our students and their families came through with many donations.

East Union held its Veterans Day Celebration with more than 20 veterans invited by fifth grade students. The veterans and their students packed care packages with all of the items that were donated. After completing that project together, the students led their veterans through the East Union building hallways as all other students sang, saluted and clapped for our veterans.

East Union speech therapist Mrs. Crawford and Special Education teacher Mrs. Maureen Hedglin organized the event.
